Will A Charity Accept My Stamp Collection?

I have a stamp collection dating from roughly 1956 to around 1960. It's sizeable covering two large albums. My dad worked in shipping and travelled the world, so as well as bought packs which will have small value I know there are many he just brought back having bought them individually in each country he visited, several like Danzig, which don't exist anymore. I can get less than £100 from a dealer, but would rather give them to a charity if they could obtain a better price. Any ideas? I see mention of used stamps being accepted but nothing on collections.

Can only ask.
Why not put them in an auction to see if you can get more, and then decide whether to give the proceeds to charity ?
We support The Hinge - a local charity which helps the homeless. They had an auction & dinner and we donated about half of Mr J2's extensive collection of modern model cars (c. 200). They made £500+ - more than an auction house would have got for them. So check around. The Sally Army knows a thing or two about fund-raising.
I'm a bit out of my depth regarding stamps but the Oxfam shop that I volunteer in sells used stamps online by weight. I don't know the details though (I'd imagine that other charity shops do the same).

Thanks all; each answer's helpful. I did see that Oxfam were alone in requesting albums / collections, so we might go down that route. My wife and daughter were at a dealers' fair at a local church hall this p.m., where they got the offers we might have expected - £25 - £35 - go on then £40, though we and they knew one stamp alone was valued at £15 years ago. It's their livelihood so can't blame them.
