not sure if this will help (Dont have an ipod) but have you used the Synchronise option to download from Laptop to Ipod - Ive done a similar thing with a "Non-ipod" mp3 player.
Does it give you any messages if you try to do this?
Does the music play in iTunes on your laptop? What did you transfer when you went from PC to laptop?

Fo3nix, yes my music does play on y laptop, I loaded itunes onto my laptop, deauthroized my pc from my account and then transferred the songs onto itunes having saved all the songs in a document form. I was able to do this as I consolidated my library.
So all the songs are there and they all play fine on your laptop? Including any songs you've bought from the iTunes Music Store? Have you authorized your laptop to play them?

Finally, try running iPod Restore to restore your iPod, then sync again with iTunes.
