chrysler neon owners
i am looking at replacing my existing car and am thinking about a second hand neon as the spec is very good and car is quite cheap.
Could any of you owners/drivers tell me what it is like to drive. eg comfort performance etc etc etc.
much obliged as usual.

In fact, since I traded it it some years ago, both my kids wish I had kept it (and that even includes getting a Saab convertible and a Jeep). Don't know what the second hand costs would be though, as I sold it before the warranty expired. I stress it was NOT a problem with the car - I just like a change about every year to 18 months.
Hi,
Have owned two Neon's - first an R-Reg Mk I and currently a W-Reg Mk II. Been happy with both and as you say they are good value for money. Only problem with the MkI model is the immobiliser key fobs can go wrong leaving you with a car you can't start. Had a transmission leak problem with my Mk I and the cooling fan relay packed up and needed replacing, but other than that no problems at all. Nothing on the Mk II so far but I've only had it about 2 months.
I inherited my first Neon from my wife who wanted an automatic and then decided it was too big for her. Hadn't heard of them before that to be honest.
Chris.

I have the pleasure of working with Chrysler/Jeep, i never had any Neon customer complain about them, MKII's were common for front lower arm rear bushes, they'll set you back 50.00 each side plus fitting & VAT, the only other problem was the front roll bar links can't remember how much they are but not much, other than that a good spec car for the money,if you can get hold of a Neon RT go for it not many people know what they are when you pull up in one without looking at the badges, if you buy it & have any questions im on most nights.
