In a word, no. If you know him well, you should be able to detect typical 'liar's' body language - unable to make eye contact, shuffling, and so on. It may be that you are just feeling insecure, and at another time, you;d have taken him at his word. You could wait and see if this sort of behaviour pattern repeats itself, and then tackle him about it, but in the mean time, try not to beat yourself up with possible scearios which may turn out to be miles from the truth.
