A minimum of six.

Magistrates� sentencing guidelines suggest (for a first time offender) between 6 and 8. As with all motoring offences which carry an endorsement they may disqualify you for the single offence alone. For the offence of no insurance they are likely to do this if it is your second or subsequent offence or if the offence is aggravated in any way (by, say, being involved in an accident). If you do receive a disqualification no points are awarded.
