They know that they will not win the forthcoming General Election and Corbyn will go shortly after. So they have already started to squabble (like only the broken Labour Party can) over who will be the next captain of the sinking ship.
When Corbyn goes, the Deputy Leader will be caretaker for a short time, and Momentum do not want that, because Watson could influence who is successor to Corbyn.
The fudge to have a jobshare deputy leader and Labour’s NEC will decide the caretaker means that Watson is still neutralised as a threat.
And Momentum and the NEC will choose lefty Angela Raynor and crown her Labour’s first Leader.
