Fortunately, the spare ed was very patient and helpful, so eventually, it worked. Here's something you probably don't know Pixie. When I first joined here, I wanted the username Pixie with a butterfly avatar, how strange is that? Perhaps we were separated at birth. :-) x
We have to take these situations case by case, they are not one and the same. Some users forget their old email addresses and some users still have access to their old email account. We determine your identity by your email address or your ability to inform us what email address is associated to a certain account. Other factors such as corresponding remote addresses can help us determine if you are who you say you are as well.
If a user goes "User_Inactive" and then sends us an email request for their account status to be set to "Active" then we are more likely to comply than if a user has been banned or suspended.
