Recovery data with Recover My Files ?? Help on using pls?

I have done a format recovery on my laptop since it recently would not start (don't know if I had a virus) but upon using my recovery software; Recover My Files, upon trying to open saved jpg files I just get a "drawing failed" notice (in windows picture and fax viewer) - the file is there - the file size is correct and I can see a preview but it is like it is corrupt and I cannot open.  Does anybody else use this software and can you give me any tips on saving my photos!!!  Thank you.... In the past, I lost my files, some of them were important, which is a misfortune. At that time , I didn't know what to do. Later, my friend told me the EaseUS data recovery software. some of them are free, although it can recover 2G, it can recovery speed is fast, especially for the e-mail.
I think it is a good choice. what is your ideas about the software?
