Got an essay due have you?!
~ Shinypink ~
Am not going to do your homework for you but from a customer's point of view they have been irresponsible lenders who have not behaved ethically, loaning money to individuals who are not in a position to pay it back, thus creating enormous write-off debts which the rest of their customers will have to fund in some way. They pay abominably low interest rates on current accounts . They also have a major customer service problem in that nobody knows who their local bank manager is any more and you can't telephone him/her personally if you have a problem anyway because all calls have to be routed through damned call centres in India
doesn't sound like homework.
sounds more like an essay question on an application form to me.
Probably so, as trinikim asked exactly the same question, last month.

Just my personal opinions:

If I were them, I'd be very worried about this issue concerning the freehold of the Ipswich branch. It seems very lax to have set up a branch there without sorting this out. Someone deserves a caning for it.

And, I think their tele adverts are nowhere near as good as NatWest's, or even HSBC's (which aren't very), so I'd get a different agency on the job.

I don't like the way they never clean their cash machines, either.
Good one Maxwell
Just to let you knw - Barclays do not have any of their customer service centres abroad and have extemely high customer service standards.
