A tongue in cheek post from Teacake44 on Spaths
'Motorway Speed Could Rise To 80Mph thread' read
//The last time I went in Aldi the checkout gal was throwing my shopping at me a lot faster than that//

A jokey post in an unrelated thread but nevertheless true!!
Took my wheelchair bound mum shopping in Morrisons a few days ago. Trying to bag the items myself and ended up with a mountain of groceries...checkout girl was literally elbowing the item down so she could scan the next one instead of slowing down a bit so that I could pack them.
After finishing scanning she gave me the total. I carried on packing while she sat and huffed and puffed for a bit and THEN paid. She didn't seem best pleased that I made her wait.
(There wasn't even anyone else in the que or else I would have hurried)

Just WHY do checkout operatives whiz through ur groceries like this?
Give me time to pack for Gods sake!

Wind up merchant! ;))
I'm only joking. I've never given them a penny.
Fight the power, Spicerack! :-)
I used to dread it when my Daughters used to do bag packing to collect for local charities including the Hospice - having worked in retail I knew their stint would be a mixed one.

Thankfully most people are polite.
My Morrisons is like a care home - you have to wake up the till operators to get out!
^Lol.
