But this sounds as if they are now going to add up your contactless transactions and demand your PIN whenever they reach €100, even if the individual amounts are under £30. I've not had this happen to me (yet).
There were reports in one of the papers the other day of people paying for a single item by tapping their card 2 or 3 times in order to exceed the £30 limit. This is probably designed to stop that.
Contactless feels just to risky to me and I have had all my contactless cards replaced. I know the banks say they will compensate people who have their cards stolen but this is banks we're talking about, so I'm not convinced they'll be falling over themselves to pay you back quickly.
