However you will have had to be taking it since the first day of your last period for it to work ,so there isnt time for you to start taking it. However you shouldt experiance any problems if you wear tampons in the swimming pool, I never have xx

you seem to be a bit young to be taking hormone tablet, especially if youve only been having periods for a few months. Norhisterone is not without side effects, and a lot of people experience incredibly heavy and painful periods when it is finished. i dont really think you have enough time because im sure you have to take it a week before your period normally starts.
there is no problem with swimming with tampons. the water pressure must surely keep the blood in? You could put a new one in before you go and change it in an hour?

Tampons are fine to wear in pools - they won't fall out. Just change it straight after. What you really should get tho is a menstrual cup - the mooncup or diva cup - it's a little rubber cup and you wear it at the entrance of the vagina. It is so leak proof, comfortable and non-carcenogenic that you will love wearin it..

missyR - of course you can't see the mooncup thru bikini bottoms!! I wouldn't recommend it if you could. You've got more risk of seeing tampon string.... I've gone swimming wearin a moon cup loads of times. It's marvellous I swear.
And jipsquit - I think it's good for men to have awareness of menstruation :)
Enjoy yr hol anyway missy - & think about getting a mooncup long term... It's the best 'sanpro' I have ever used.
