I Really Don't Understand.

What's wrong with me, I saw a pair of shoes yesterday, good price, good quality, but still couldn't bring myself to buy them. Could it be after years of making every penny count, looking after a family( now all left the nest) and not buying much for myself, Or do you just get more miserable and tight as you get older. Its not as if I'm short. When I get back home I regret not buying, and its not just this occasion. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not over loaded with shoes, but would like some new winter boots, instead of just wearing my walking boots in winter.
