I've just eaten a Cadbury twirl. The thinking at the moment is that the wizard makes the twirls inside, I think he's just made the whole bar smaller. :0)

Exactly. There is a name for this process which escapes me at the moment. Maintain the price but reduce the quantity. My box of porridge oats which used to contain 500 g now only has 450 g.

A large? jar of Lor coffee was 200g since its so called special price ( offer) its now only 165g. Special offer? I don't think so.

The word you're looking for Jackdaw is 'shrinkflation'. A few less tea bags in a box, 2 less choccy fingers, rounded (instead of square) segments of chocolate, a few thousand less grains of soap powder,etc.

The average special offer of Lor coffee is £5 (large=165g. if you buy two of the small jars, they have 100g in each, they cost £2.50 each, needless to say you are well in, buying two of the small ones. :0)

Cadbury rounded the segments because it affects the way folk perceive the taste and folk think it tastes sweeter.

Oh, they've made the glass jar smaller, but increased the height of the plastic screw top for the 165g. So much for reducing plastic waste. :0(

You can always tell when Cadbury's are up to no good, they run extensive adds on TV, like they've been doing on twirl for the last two months.

Cadbury's have been much sweeter, since they were bought by the US. They used to be my favourite, but no longer.

They are about half the thickness now, to what they started out, also the multi pack one's are even smaller. The chocolate con. :0)

Much smaller TCL than what a twirl used to be, and to be honest it was just an orange flavoured bit of chocolate.
Just wish I could remember how much I paid for it ? Think it was something like 70p !!
