UPVC - Timber look - door for victorian cottage?

Does anyone know of a supplier / manufacturer of UPVC timber effect front doors that would suit a terraced cottage built in 1901?

I've found a few suppliers of these doors, but they are all "Georgian" style i.e, with the fan shape at the top.
We did want some glazing, but undecided as to how much at the moment.
Wre were thinking of red or green - not strictly Victorian colours, but we're not purists, just want something that is in-keeping.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hurst and GBW make door panels that could be suitable. However if you want coloured ones ( as opposed to white, Mahogany or Golden Oak ) then you are best going for a composite door. These are expensive and to get one fitted would cost about �900.
We sell and fit white panelled doors for about �490 and woodgrained effect at 25% more. Composite doors in various colours between �800 and �1,000.
You can get normal white doors spray painted but I am not keen on that and they are expensive as well.

Possibly a mahogony wood effect would be suitable for your property.
Look on google for the two companies mentioned. They have a large range. There also many other companies which you can find. Try googling composite doors.
You need to find a local supplier/manufacturer for these doors. Try and stay clear of the large companies as they are more expensive and don't necessarily give value for money.

I got hold of a Hurst brochure actually. They look as though they're decent quaity, also some nice looking (in the brochure anyway!) colours - we were after a red or green door. Bloke in thshop warned us they're pricey 'though. We also were looking at companies called Homesafe, and Benchmark.

It's just the styles of these doors are fairly limited, I suppose because they're are a fairly new product?

I live in Harrow / Wembly area - Middlesex, if you know of any local reasonable outfits.

HI Bill, Sorry I dont know anything around your way. Hurst and GBW are the suppliers we use. Homesafe are reputable as they are part of the Laird Group.
Your best bet is to shop around your small double glazing suppliers and get some info from them.
As I said I would not pay more than �900 to �1000 for a composite door.
uPVC Mahaogany Doors about �650 and white about �500. Anything much higher than this I would really try and see what you get for your money.
Above prices as far as I am concerned includes fitting,VAT and ten year guarantee.
I would not recommend fitting them yourself unless you know what you are doing. Apart from anything else you will probably only get one years guarantee.
