So far so quiet on AB, but since the new Deal* (text available at the bottom) has now been announced, what are people's thoughts?

To answer your question directly jim: are they happy that the UK still will pay the EU approx. £40 billion in the next decade? No, not really but if we are to appease the remainers then I can't see that anything else would ever happen. Are they still comfortable with a transition period, extending to as late as 2021? MPs should represent their own constituency when it's a constituency matter, and represent the nation's view on matters decided nationwide. They might also choose to vote according to their own conscience if they have no conscience regarding failing in their duty to represent the people that they are meant to be representing; in which case they need to be slung out of politics as soon as possible.

It wasn't a democratic referendum as electoral laws were broken by Leave.
And in 3 and a half years a lot of people can change their minds.
The Leave camp get more and more vociferous banging on about democracy which wasn't valid - they are getting desperate to ruin the country economically (which will win Jacob and his cronies lots and lota of money).

It's a bad thing to be paying the mugger but if it gets us out it may be worth tolerating.
Further delay would be unacceptable but if we transitioned to a basically out situation quickly and simply took a while tying up the loose ends it could be accepted through gritted teeth.
Not in the slightest happy with the EU still ruling NI. That needs to be progressed quickly so it no longer stands.
And related, not the slightest bit happy with an internal national border, which was rightly described as unacceptable, but await the details to see how that's going to fade away quickly.
I've no idea of the consequences of joint committee overseeing. Just so long as meanings aren't twisted to keep us in.

This appears to be Mrs May’s deal, but with a tweak to the backstop.
I suggested a while back that Mr Johnson would do this and claim he has negotiated a different deal.

There is no backstop now. It’s basically a free trade deal for the EU and GB with NI left out. So I am not surprised the DUP aren’t happy.
But that is what Brexit means for Ireland: either the above, or NI and the ROI gradually drifting further apart.
