Ever since I updated my Windows 10 (within the last fortnight) I can't get google to come up as my default home page. Windows 10 has kicked it out and replaced it with Bing and Cortana. I've tried to do what it says on Ask and can't find the words that they tell you what to look for. Has anyone else had this problem and how did they solve it please

Good advice but it will only change the search engine that's used when you type a search into the address bar (or the browser's own search box). You'll also need to change your home page as well in order to achieve what you're seeking to do.

I recall Windows 10 tried to drive me down the Edge (or was it IE) route and discourage Chrome. I kept getting messages telling me it would work much better if I used theirs but I hate Bing so persevered with Chrome. Bing searches are not at all good and if I type in say 'youtube' to Bing I just get US youtube clips from a few years ago
