Interesting programme on Charlotte Church, her mother and stepfather tonight. Goes to show they are of course human like everyone else and, no matter how much success and money you get, it doesn’t buy health and happiness. Anyone else have thoughts on it?
My thoughts are this family will do anything for money and exposure. The fall out was around 15 years ago so they made up a long time ago.
The mother and her husband were on 4 in a Bed and the mother did not come across well although she made sure everyone knew who she was because her B&B was full of Charlotte memorabilia.
I didn’t watch the show.
A daughter jaded by childhood fame, a mother with serious mental health issues and a father with under a year to live. It was all so sad, but they all came across so human and loving. I wish them all well.
The programme was about Charlotte Church hoping to make amends with her parents after having a big falling out with them some years ago. It had nothing to do with her father taking cocaine, so why would that be mentioned? I found it quite moving in parts and I think it could probably be helpful to others who might be in this situation.

also charlotte church is worth over £6 million pounds so whether "work has dried up " as you put it, neither her or her parents are on the bread line !
I reluctantly ending up watching it, and found it kept my attention. The fondness they felt for each other was evident...but I couldn't help wondering how natural conversations can be with cameras following every move.
