I don't think it's a spoiler but Ralph Little is the new DCI on Saint Marie after the departure of Ardal O'Hanlon
We were lucky enough to visit the set on Guadeloupe(Deshaies), the police station is actually a church rectory office
We handled some of the props and were amazed to see they had been used in the series when we returned to the UK and they hadn't been pilfered by set visitors
The market which regularly seen in front of the police station is actually on the church car park Catherine's bar is exactly the same as seen on screen with the DCI shack being on a to-die-for beach about 5 miles away, but the shack is only erected for the series and isn't inhabitable

I quite like Ardal O'Hanlon but didn't think he did well in D.I.P. Hopefully Ralph Little will refresh the show.

its's a fun series , isn't it

The way they mix some of the lingo with traditional english , can be a bit cringe worthy at times , though .

How was Harry the lizard - did you see him :-)

Just googled Ralph Little - from the pictures on the net - i cant see his face fitting the role ( of course any mannerisms
he brings to the character will probably make up for it )

I think Kris Marshall's portrayal is the best so far

I hadn't read about this but I never really liked Ardal in the role after Kriss Marshall's excellent portrayal. I think Ralph Little will be good. I liked him in The Cafe and Two Pints etc we haven't seen enough of him lately.

I really enjoyed The Café which Ralph Little wrote as well as starred in. It deserved better ratings and more seasons.

I hope he does well in DiP, my favourite was Ben Miller. I much preferred Camille and Fidel to their replacements but I still love the show. :)

I haven’t really followed it to that extent. The 10 or so I have watched I thought were amusing and well written. Wish I had the time to watch it regularly. I saw some snippet in a rag in the last few days about some sort of rebellion and walk out by some of the cast but didn’t bother to read it fully. ;-(

I remembered Ralf being in DiP before, at least he has some idea of what he’s getting in to.
