Did you know that all the lines and cabinets are under the control of Openreach.......who are owned by B.T. Now the fun starts, when the contracts and "rules" for the internet provider game were set up BT(through Openreach) were given first option on the capacity available through the individual roadside cabinets( ignore that if you have fibre to home). Therefor when an area is heavily subscribed or even over subscribed for the data available BT can reduce the taps to non BT subscribers and open them up for BT subscribers. That is the only reason I have stuck with BT, and their high prices, and cannot wait for fibre to home to arrive whereupon I will give Virgin a whirl. Note Virgin via fibre to cabinet are in the same boat as E.E.
