I agree with Prudie. The ‘use a different browser’ suggestion often comes up on AB. Surely that means downloading a new one and having to give out loads of personal information first.
I only use Safari, and wouldn’t change that for anything.
And yes, the AB privacy message is annoying, as is the sign-in box which pops up when I click from thread to thread. Since the Data Protection Act changed, we have even less privacy.
I think those of us who never experience this problem - even using the same browser - are at a bit of a loss to understand why this is happening & what can be done about it!
@Bigbad.......It depends as to what Browser you change. Firefox will not be seeking your personal information, as does Chrome.
Consequently, FF will not be passing or selling information from your Computer/Laptop, etc to other organisations.
It is my opinion that Firefox is the best of Browsers and Chrome is the one to be avoided.
