Question Author
good morning you two :)) how do i split a best answer ?? very well done and very quick xx
Hi, yes, snap!
Evening all, I wouldn't have even got the bronze medal on this one.
Good morning Tony, how are you today ?
Good morning, twix. I'm okay thanks, hope you are to. Have you been for a pint of anything interesting tonight ?
Hi Tony. I'm well thanks; 7 years since half of my liver and my gall bladder were removed, which is 2 years past the 50% survival rate.
Our regular group of 5 oldies was supplemented by a further 5 drinkers tonight, four of whom go on our regular golfing trips to Ireland; therefore a good evening was had by all.
Blimey !, well done twix.
Ever onward Twix x
Well, at least the liver is the one organ which regenerates itself, therefore the 600 plus toxins we all ingest are still being strained from my alcohol intake ( and I try not to over abuse the second chance, unlike George Best who had a complete liver transplant but carried on over-drinking !. I'm lucky that my consultant was on the transplant team that attended to George ).

Cor, you lot still gossiping in the wee small hours ??
Hi Steff - I'm just about to go up the wooden hill to bed - Goodnight to you all.

p.s. I hope that you are not suffering from the bush fires that seem to be raging in NSW ?

Actually Best was a bit of an idiot, abusing that op !!

Glad to hear you're still keeping in reasonable health with your liver .....OH has just started chemo again as they've just found a number of spots in his liver...not what we were hoping for :((
I hope that Mr. S. gets on OK with the chemo. My particular cancer was in the bile duct, but they had to remove one lobe of my liver to get at it. Chemo wasn't an option, although I subsequently went on a trial with Cancer Research to see if chemo could help, which it apparently would, but I was in the 'control group' who had no medication over the 5 year period.
I'm lucky that my consultant was on the transplant team that attended to George ).

Very lucky, twix. Hope things carry on well for you.

Hope things can be sorted for your other half to, Steff.

Keeping fingers crossed, the worst thing is the pain from damaged nerves around his left ear, thanks to the radiotherapy .....trying to manage that with heavy duty meds isn't easy :(
