I have had three lots of proper flu in my 70 (plus a few more) years during major flu epidemics when my grandparents were hospitalised. Doctors came out visiting back then!
Theland, you must, especially with your health problems. October and November are the optimum times for getting it, leave it longer than the end of the month and you really do leave yourself at risk.
I've had the flu jab about three weeks ago. No problems at all.
Like retro I liked India. Two weeks touring around in a hire car.
Interesting drivers there, constant horn beeping, and lights at full beam in your face. Got the usual Delhi Belly, such fun, not.
I've seen the northern part, I'd like to see the southern as well, more jungle.
I was really ill this year after my flu jab. I have had it for the last 14 years with no problems. Firstly did not feel well within an hour of having it then by evening my arm was really sore like something I’ve never known. During the night it felt like a knife or something grinding in my arm I used ice packs off and on the whole night..it’s really made me think about another.
I feel a lot better today, but so tired. We obviously all react differently, or don't react at all. What worried me was experiencing all the symptoms of heightened anxiety - fight or flight - together with the associated loo problems that I had virtually all day. but I wasn't anxious!
My 16 year old son has it every year, due to being asthmatic. Thankfully, he hasn't had a reaction so far (although the asthma would be worse). But it does change every year, and anything is possible.
Had the flu jab 6 or 7 weeks ago the following week I felt lousy ( almost as if I had the flu ) and have had a runny nose since. Last year was the first time that I had the flu jab, no problems with that one.
