Was this the time when we decided we'd had enough of EUSSR regs?

I've had a page of Euromyths bookmarked for years and have been amazed how many folk believe some of them without little thought being given to it.

It's always been a fear of change and loss of control it seems to me , not that anyone really wants to buy curly cucumbers etc.
i only work in imperial measurements,
i can't quite fathom kilo nor kilometres. But i
am getting on a bit.
Like TTT & ZM I was taught both and it's never bother me. I tend to use Celsius for temperature but do like weighing thinks in lbs and oz if I am cooking and I do like my beer pumped as a pint. For me it's simply the measure that comes to mind first altough I know 500ml is close enough for a pint and 2.2lbs is a kilo so easy to convert.

I suspect it was more the "being told what to do" that peed many off. Not just bendy banana's or light bulbs (actually a good thing). Successive UK Governments could have helped of course. Rather than just accepting every diktat they could have just ignored it just like the French often do. But the Liberal Elite won't get that.
"Great post, Chuck!

. . . but please don't wait 3½ years again before your next one ;-)"

Just found the password to an old account then ?
"I do wish that Brexiteers would stop using the phrase "unelected bureaucrats" and worse. Haven't they heard of the UK's MEPs?"

Maybe you need to read up on how the European Parliament works before spouting such nonsense?

Sometimes it is better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and remove all doubt.
I voted NO in 1973, I could see what was coming. I've been proved right!
Great seeing Chuck Fickens posting again, he was very good like Chris is for helping out with the techy stuff on here and helped me a few times, welcome back Chuck

/// sorry for the diversion///
Yes, I wonder why!
I do wish that those failing to understand would join the rest of us and use the phrase "unelected bureaucrats". Haven't they heard that the Commission is there due to who they know, and it's they who makes the decisions ? And that the sop of the MEPs is a facade to appear democratic but they're just there to, "ok" the decisions (preferably at first asking) ?
I doubt any number of significance voted to leave based on individual annoyances, even though remainers like to claim it (well they would, wouldn't they). The public had, had decades of seeing the modifications to the initial promise, realised they'd been duped into agreeing to give our nation to the federal block, and wanting to stop that before it was too late.
