"Bankruptcy affects certain occupations and professions, such as the Police Force, Armed Forces, Local Council and Government Offices may refuse to employ someone who is either an undischarged bankrupt or has been declared bankrupt at any point in the past."

Note the word 'may' (and not 'must') in that quote. While all police forces have to comply with general Home Office guidelines relating to the employment of police officers, each force has a good deal of discretion regarding its exact requirements. The only way that you'll get a definite answer to this question is to contact your local police recruitment office.
