Any Body Still Interested?

A while ago,, I asked about the very odd crossword in the December edition of SWMBO's magazine. There are no clues for most of the across clues,just a letter.

I have come back to it again and again. " Obsessional" is among the nicer things she has called me. I have completed most of it ( don't know whether they are right!). But there's a few that I simply can't get. Anybody interested in helping with such an old and odd puzzle?

Thank you all. I'm afraid bath time arrived before I read the latest batch, including the rebukes about answers given earlier. Quite right to tell me off. It was the stubborn aspect of my character that SWMBO goes on about. I was reluctant to believe that other answers were wrong. They were!

Good morning Scorpiojo. You have been particularly great. Not just with this puzzle of course.

What a puzzle it's been though. Even now I'm not sure about some answers, whereas usually I am ok about answers. Just take that Owens/ overs choice. Arguments both ways.

And I have gone back to overs. Just re read your cricket reference, scorpiojo, and I am now convinced.
I really do need to move on but it keeps twisting round my brain. SWMBO is, to say the least, not best pleased with me....
