Seriously, would You Go To Your A&e With The Flu Or A Heavy Cold?

On our local news , people are being asked to stay away from the A&E departments across the region and to ring 111, to free up Doctors time to care for the more serious cases, I suppose the elderly or the very young might have to be seen but surely 111 and a referral would be the way to go

He had a knife stuck in his head, was clearly sozzled and kept shouting to the staff to "just stitch me up and I'll be alright", blood pouring everywhere. I often wonder what became of him. That was a different kind of headache though! :o)
There was a programme on BBC sometime ago where patients were visited by hospital finance. They wanted to see proof of who they were, where they're from, how long they were staying and any insurance details..yada yada. They had two people to work the whole hospital!! The NHS do invoice these people and their country of birth if they have no NI number. Cheaper to let it go though.
