North Cyprus
Having enjoyed our holidays in South Cyprus I am considering booking a holiday in North Cyprus next year. Any comments or advice from ABers ,together with suggestions of places of interest to be visited would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A little heaven wish we could go again, age and poor health unfortunately make that a no no now .
I can confirm Bellapais is beautiful. I believe Mr Lawrence Durrell wrote his book 'Bitter Lemons' there. Kyrenia is a great harbour with a castle and museum. The Turks got the best side of the Island in the North. The beaches are far better than in the South. You pay in Turkish Lire and entitled to duty free. I found the North cheaper.I prefer to get out of touristy spots around the coast and head for the mountains inland where you see and meet real Cyprus . I always enjoy driving around the Troodos Mnts. Northern Cyprus is a must for me to visit again.I recommend the Hotel Oskar.
