how soon would you get your xmas food in like the savouries (frozen food) - sometimes by the time one gets around to it - the good food has gone.
I had a bah-humbug Christmas last year and I was miserable and so I said never again. I am making a big effort this year - bought a beautiful tree in June and Star so looking forward to putting that up.
I have loads of decorations in the attic but can't be a%sed getting them down as the attic door is too heavy for me.
A little story - I went to my cousin's daughter (whom I love) last year for dinner - she had all the decorations up and on her hall wall - the most magnificent velvet scoll of the Old Daddy Christmas sitting by the fire - little toys, presents, armchair. You put a battery into the back of it and it flickers with lovely lights.
I asked the daughter - oh that is beautiful - she said laughing "you gave it to me". Jeepers. Must have been out of my mind.
Hi JJ, I’m ordering some online for me and the girls going to stay in a log cabin for 4 days on the 13th and we’re having the big Xmas dinner on the 15th, Turkey and everything else, for my own ,we ( well my son in law and OH ) are going on the Monday night ,23rd to get ours in, tree goes up on Sunday x
I've started getting a few frozen 'nibbles' in every time I do my weekly shop, because, as you say, sometimes the good stuff goes before Xmas. Also my Aldi Xmas Pud is bought as they ran out of small ones last year and I had to get one as big as a football -only me and my daughter eat it so the hens got most of it.
It’ll be all hand together on the 13th JJ,it’ll me like a military operation with one doing the veg, one doing the table and one doing the prawn cocktail , it’ll be fun tho
I don't have to get a lot but most of the storecupboard stuff is bought already. I am running down the freezer to make space but I don't buy a lot of party frozen stuff. I do get frozen luxury food but I buy that all year round when I see it reduced
