Breakfast: Porridge oats/soya milk/grated apple/natural yogurt or scrambled egg on rye toast, or sugar free muesli and soya milk.
Fruit snack mid morning
Lunch: Tuna salad, with pine nuts. fruit and yogurt. OR Baked potato no butter with tuna//cheese and green salad OR hummus and pitta bread and salad
Fruit snack and 12 almonds mid afternoon
Dinner: Salmon with wholemeal pasta and steamed veg OR lean chicken breast with brown rice and salad or vegetable chilli with brown rice or salad
8 glasses of water per day, cut out tea, coffee and alcohol (for a month anyway)
Up the intake of Vit c to 1000mg per day and lots of nuts and seeds.
I have just put my husband on this eating plan and he has lost a stone in two weeks.

You are welcome - the idea is to replace refined sugar and carbohydrates with good carbs, but eat them with a bit of good protein and lots of veg (not spuds too often though). So cut out all the white stuff and go for brown rice/bread/pasta and wholegrains) Keep up the essential fats ie oily fish and cut down on the bad fats and refined sugars. I am so proud of my husband he has stuck to it and he looks amazing. I am currently studying nutritional therapy so please let me know how you are doing. Amara xx

Hi Sam
Last year I started Slimming World and lost 2 1/2 stone in 9 months. I now weigh 8 stone 10 and am so much happier...and of course, healthier.
Basically, for breakfast I would eat either weetabix with skimmed milk or fruit and yoghurt. For lunch I would have a wholemeal bread salad sandwich with a muller light yoghurt and more fruit and for tea I would have quorn pieces with vegetables and potatoes or quorn mince to make spaghetti bolognese or jacket potato with chilli con carne etc.
It worked for me anyway. Make sure you do have a treat once a week though.
Good luck!

The trick is to eat regular healthful meals - skipping breakfast, fasting and boosting yourself with stimulants will not work. You need to maintain a constant blood sugar level, and therefore speed up your metabolism. You should also take up some exercise too, even 15 minutes of yoga a day will work very quickly in changing your body shape and start turning the fat to muscle - if you can walk or swim too even better. The other thing to remember is to choose a healthy eating plan that suits your lifestyle and stick to it for always - yo yo dieting is bad and will encourage diabetes later on. plus all the weight and more will go back on.
