Santa Dave to me now.

Our Editor introduced herself when she took on the role.
Looks like your thread has gone a bit off course, diddly, with some ignoring the OP completely and simply coming here to lay the law down and criticise others. I didn’t expect you to get much response to your question - and you haven’t - because I think, like me, most people DO believe in freedom of speech.

I can’t say I agree with your assessment that this site smacks of a totalitarian regime. That’s a bit over the top, in my opinion. Maybe you should take a breather from politics.
" most people DO believe in freedom of speech."

If you believe it or not, the UK has no "freedom of speech" law. It's not legally recognised in the UK.

Under the human rights act you have freedom of expression.
Under Article 10 of the Human Rights Act 1998, “everyone has the right to freedom of expression” in the UK. But the law states that this freedom “may be subject to formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society”.
Had a walk through the park...the podium's free..... :-)
Is there a Ed - we only hear from the spareEd
TD, the question is 'Who on this site does not believe in freedom of speech'. Regardless of the law I think few would say they don't....
I have complete freedom to speak - as long as I agree with Mrs T :-(
Isn't freedom of speech contained within freedom of expression?
Question Author
OK I take the point of freedom of "expression" as opposed to freedom of "speech". So this site has its own rules and freedom of expression only exists if it suits the "Site Rules" and the Ed.

that didnt take long to finally get through...only two pages...to be expected though...
