Why are people so nasty about women in the public eye? If they take care of their appearance they’re mocked for looking a bit fake. If they don’t they’ve ‘let themselves go’.

I have to say I find this question rather sexist. Nancy Pelosi is an extremely accomplished woman and all you focus on is her hair and make up. You would not speak of a man in this way and let's face it many of the prominent male politicians are hardly oil paintings.

I pay next to no attention to US politics. I know who the President is and that's about it. I might pay a little heed during Presidential elections but that's as far as my interest goes. I've always found their politics to be a bit of a strange fish and in any case I have enough trouble keeping abreast of UK politics.

best thing on the box by far, informative funny, sad, poignant and shows how politics is run in USA. If you have loads of time then this is for you.
