just read the thread about the corrie wedding. i know alot of people watch corrie (my dad for one) and when its on i usually sit and watch for a bit but does anyone else find it really annoying? the acting is awful (especially blanche) and the story lines get worse and more unrealistic every week.

Love it too. Blanche is my favourite character, along with Cilla and Chesney, but Sarah is the worst actress possible, followed closely by Maria, both in it just for their looks. I love the Ken/Dierdre/Blanche triple act, but hate, loathe and detest Janice Battersby and Leanne. Love Bradley Walsh and especially his rhyming slang for knickers (Alan Whickers - I'd never heard that one before). I like Roy and Hayley, and love Liz. Norris - what a star!!
I think you find that characters come into their own after a few months and you get to see their appeal from the quite clever one liners they give them. Blanche has had some corkers over the past few months. I hated her when she was first in it, now I love her because of the way they have developed her character.
Corrie has been a bit weak on story sometimes since the classic Richard Hillman episodes, then I felt that Corrie was at its brilliant best, but for me I still think it is far superior to Eastenders.
