Personally, with a supposed comparison of human development I have some difficulty accepting that the USA is as highly ranked as 15th because of the abject inequalities there between obscene wealth and privilege against crushing poverty, lack of opportunity and ignorance. Presumably this is the outcome through weighting of some sort (I have not bothered to analyse it). Nevertheless, as elsewhere the top is occupied by a selection of familiar countries.
