The public want the end of Brexit. They're sick and tired of hearing about it and want it to be a thing of the past. Boris thinks he can get it done quickly (we'll see), while Labour, until recently, couldn't even decide which side of the debate they were on. The UK have voted primarily on Brexit.
Labour now has the chance to reflect and sort out all those other things that 3T mentions. If they fail to do that, they are well on the way to being a spent force.
