Hi Sam1960, I thought it better to have this week as a stand-alone event because of the difficulties posed by the extra clue about the Nutcracker ballet in the printed version, to which most players didn't have access. I haven't, therefore, added this week's scores to the running total, and we'll resume battle as normal next week, even though that means only three rounds. Where's a five-weekend month when you want one??!!

As for volunteering for the scoring, yes, I was beginning to think of Saturday's clue at 118 across, but on the other hand, if that's the worst 'Nightmare Before Christmas' then I'm not complaining ;)
