A curse or ill wish is nothing to fear because it tends to rebound on the sender those who have poison in their hearts are to be pitied not feared. As for blessings.
All those who spread kind thoughts and deeds generally become more blessed themselves. Either as kindness is returned, or by knowing inside you did well.

This is true. Many years ago, people who we called gypsies, used to go round knocking on doors selling pegs, dusters etc. A woman knocked on a neighbours door, tried selling the usual stuff and told the lady that she looked like a very lucky person and her luck would increase if she bought some items. The lady told the gypsy that she'd had all the luck she needed thanks, as her two sons had been killed in a road accident, three months previous. For anybody who knows the North Manchester area, that particular accident was at Bowker Vale Bridge.
I used to own an Arts and Crafts shop, the Gypsies used to come in and buy large glass beads ( 10 for £1 but they used to put two in their bag for every one they counted. )
They would stop me on the street, with their 'charms' in a hanky and tell me what would happen if I didn't buy one.
I used to 'politely' remind them where they had bought them from and then tell them to get lost.
