I recently saw on a Subaru estate ( I think) around half way down the frame that holds the front screen in place a smallish nodule of plastic , what would this be for? it looked like you would fasten something to it, anyone any ideas please?

My last car had a clear plastic clip halfway down the front pillar....for holding car park tickets.
Seen that before ginge. I've also had cars with 'lumps' on the A pillar to stop the wipers going over the edge of the screen.

The lumps are on the inside
I used to have a car ( long time ago ) that had a ticket clip on the screen pillar, A Nissan Silvia.

I've seen it, but have no idea of it's purpose.

Just a thought, does it stem from the days when you had to place a parking light in the car at night, maybe something to fasten it to?
