Up on the Beautiful Northumberland coast ,spent yesterday morning on Holy Island and timed the tides to leave as the Causeway gets covered by the sea ,a lovely finish to our Christmas festivities, tomorrow night will be nice and quiet , just a takeaway and TV , OH will watch Jules Holland and I’ll be in bed by tenish,I hope everyone had a lovely peaceful Christmas

A nice, quiet N.Y. Eve for us, too. We love Holy Island - once went with daughters on Easter Sunday and pilgrims were trudging across the sands. It was a very special service and memory.

OH went for the first time a few years ago when we went from a holiday cottage in the Borders. We are wondering about Northumberland this year -was your cottage dog-friendly?
