All of the matches were found: there were 14 Kingfishers, 8 Clam Shells, 5 Hay Lofts and 2 Glove Boxes, but nobody found all of them.

Congrats to you too Rose, I’d forgotten about December and how scary it can be....you’ve managed very well and I’m just wondering if you could hold the fort for another month or am I really pushing my luck ? I would really appreciate the extra time as it appears we’ll be spending more time at the hospital in the near future ....I’ll say thank you in advance keeping my fingers crossed but if you’re not able to I’ll understand :))

Hi Steff, of course I'll mind the shop for another month. Sorry to hear about the number of hospital appointments on the agenda, but wish Mr S all the best in his treatment and you too as No. 1 carer. Always a tough time.

As for the Christmas 'Special' week, we could, at some stage in the year, work out ahead of next year the best way to make a fair contest. We seem to fall into three groups: those who use the printed edition of the crossword, those who access it online and those Ab-ers who join in without the crossword, which is great.
Perhaps there are some good ideas out there .....
