Whatever Corbyn's role in enabling Johnson's GE win was, it wasn't needed. It merely assured a Tory majority. The Labour party policy clearly showed disdain for the public's opinion and for democracy. They'll need more than a new leader to turn that around. They need to get back in touch with the people and the concept of democracy for the people, then invest time increasing public faith that they really have changed and it's not just a front. That's a major upheaval, and a great deal of patience needed. But depending on how this new government goes they may get a quicker result if the public decides that, bad as the Labour party have proved to be in recent opposition, that they are presently the best of multiple evils; but they ought not count on that.
