I have good understanding of pc's and the internet but with life in general nobody knows everything and you only know what you have taught / been shown and therefore I haven't got a clue how you create a link.

I remember typing in an address before now and it changes colour - possibly active. Is that it ????

The easiest way is to open another page at the address you wish to link to.

Highlight and copy the address in the address bar and copy and paste it.

Press the space bar, and the link should be active.
Just to add, make sure it's a space and not a return.
If you want to be really technical and put in a word as the link instead of the URL itself then have a look at the bit on the wonderful world of stevie21 (see the irony there?) which says "Or try this".

Paste in the URL and type in the word/phrase that you want to be the clickable link and you'll be given the html code to paste in here so that you, too, can have "the wonderful world of stevie21" as a clickable linky! woohoo!!!!
if you're going to type the link into an answer, make sure you have the http:// in front or it wont work
