The hypothetical images that you misleadingly compared to your grave error of judgement would not cause me offence. They would undoubtedly engender feeling of sadness and anger. However if some inconsiderate, insensitive, would be "wit" decided to use them to make a statement or image that was intended to antagonise then I would be offended. Shameful behaviour in posting the image and further shameful behaviour trying to defend the stupidity, or deflect the blame onto someone, anyone, else.
