Saddest Tale!
18 Answers
Letter in the paper from a meals on wheels driver.
He had to deliver a meal to a very old lady on Christmas Day.
He knocked on the door, the family were all having their Christmas dinner in a real festive situation.
The old lady was upstairs in her room, all alone. They hadn't even given her her dinner from their kitchen. The driver left her dinner with her and had to leave.
What a sad state of affairs when a family cannot look after their own.

So, her niece brought her a Christmas dinner on the day and her daughter brought her a dinner on Boxing day. My cousin was very happy with that as she got to eat her dinners in peace while watching her choice of TV programmes. When I asked her if she missed being with the family she said No, she can see them any other day of the week.I was wondering though that if her neighbours saw her meals being delivered they might come to the conclusion that she wasn't invited anywhere and of course, that wasn't the case.
