Vegetarian ice cream

are there certain makes of ice cream which cannot be given to a strict veggie? Are there any ingredients which I should watch out for?

Depends if they are veggie or vegan, a vegan wouldn't eat dairy products which mean you would need special (probably soya) ice cream.

Most vegetarians that I know would eat dairy ice cream.
You have to be careful with all commercial icecreams. Most have gelatine in, which is a complete no-no for vegetarians. You need to look for brands which say they contain guar gum or carrageen, whcih is acceptable for veggies. You're safer to make your own, really. Then it's just eggs, sugar, cream, milk and fruit or whatever - no muck at all!

if you have a really good health shop near, they usually stock it... I just like the Vanilla one with a nice fruit sauce and you can get the vanilla one in Tescos and Sainsburys.

thank you, I found the Swedish Glaze one and it's so good! The veggies I was feeding were my boyfriend's parents - I reckon I impressed them! Thanks a lot.
