I thought I would mention that the architecture here in Budapest is amazing,
Anyone interested in architecture this would be worth a visit,
The parliament building is absolutely beautiful,
Our parliament in Edinburgh is a disgrace compared to Budapest,
I am enjoying the beer,but would hate to come here on a budget as the prices are horrendous, the weather has been dry ,but a biting wind.

There is some wonderful art nouveau architecture in Budapest - I only had a short stay so wasn’t able to see much but plan to go back

It's a beautiful place and the parliament is stunning. One of the highlights (of many) of my trip was being taken to this place, we had a fantastic evening with all kinds of live medieval style entertainment:

The zoo is very good too if you like that kind of thing. A lot of walking though.

The iron shoes along part of the river bank are just so desperately sad. An excellent memorial IMO.

I did a watercolour of the Parliament building it took a lot of patience as it’s quite complex, repetitive but complex. Buda and pest separated by the Danube has two quite different sides. One still has lots of Soviet concrete housing blocks, the other magnificent though dated architecturally grandiose buildings.

We fly home to Bonnie Scotland tomorrow,it has been a wonderful 19 days,I didn’t think I would enjoy myself as it’s not really my thing going round beautiful buildings,
But the beer was excellent,couldn’t get to grips with the currency,but heh ho of to Cyprus in 3 weeks.
