It appears to be part of a very small business, I cant imagine the owners profit much from the advertising, just enough to cover the costs probably.

Crystal Guides (as mentioned above) sold The Answerbank Ltd several years ago. It's now effectively part of SilverDisc Ltd. While they're actually registered as separate companies, they share the same postal address and telephone number. I suspect that they also share staff, with AB's Editor probably being an employee of Silverdisc Ltd, whose principal job is to sell online advertising and/or working in the field of search engine optimisation, and with keeping an eye on this site just being a minor additional task.
