Countryfile - Titter Ye Not

Watched last night's episode while devouring a rather large Lamb Steak. Toward the end of the episode, a couple of the 'team' were at the Wetland Centre at Martin Mere. The female presenter had been given the job of feeding the swans from a 'floating' wheelbarrow while the guy in the wheelchair watched from the safety and dryness of a control room, accompanied by an expert. The expert explained that swans who had visited the centre previously had had rings put on their legs and that the swans were fed so that they could be counted - noting how many newcomers there were to the spot. To which the presenter said, "Oh I get it, the swans bob their heads down for the feed, their bums come up and their rings can be read." Almost choked on a juicy piece of lamb.
Talking of which, at the end we were given a glimpse of what to expect on the programme throughout 2020 and one of the first things shown was a presenter who said, "Here I am, holding a beautiful little lamb." Upon which I placed another forkful of juicy lamb into my mouth and chewed ever so slowly. Yum, yum.
