35 Pasteurise anag
33 Ris(k) er (ty)re reversed
33 Riser (on a staircase - not a tread)
22 Barmaid?
22 Bammers, goofs, nutters. MM, madame, inside Bars, brasseries.
I withdraw, not so graciously ;))
Sorry, Mme, the abbreviation for Madame - a Latest Post distracted me!
Captain2, don't do that - you're a valuable resource (99% of the time). Sorry!
Oh! kick a man when he's down. ;))
Captain2, 1% is so tiny, it's virtually meaningless. If I had a 1% chance of winning the lottery, I wouldn't be making any spending plans.
The first word in 22d (in my copy) is Coofs (not goofs), Scots for a lout.
22 Thanks, Woodside. I didn't have a copy of the clues - just the grid with my answers.
Captain2, I'm sure you'd have got it with the right clue.

Oh great, hope I haven't caused too much havoc. Didn't know the word bammers, found barmpots etc, but not...
Altogether quite a frustrating AZED, also with the impellant, instead of impellent.
Many thanks for the help, now I can at least sleep without having to work out puzzles in my dreams.
Hi Clog2. Good to know that there's someone else who sometimes needs help with AZED. It is very rarely mentioned in the AnswerBank unlike the Everyman both of which I can download as I live in Canada. Your post today cleared up the bottom right hand corner for me so thanks. Best wishes.
35a is PASTEURISM
A + anag of SUET in PRISM, solid
Think I've cracked it then get hung up on a couple! Help please with 18a) Aussie purloins small amounts when about to arrive in Paris(9).
I have N?UVE?I?S. Thanks!
I think it is SOUVENIRS but I am not sure as I don't have the answer to 4d!
Sous are small amounts, and "to arrive" in French is "Venir", giving "souvenirs" whether this is Aussie slang for items purloined, I couldn't tell you!
Thanks JJ - I think you're right - back to the grid to sort out where I've gone wrong.
4d Regest - just got it!
