it's been running for a while now, and my pc is slow to sometime stop. but hopefully it gives the pc some protection against the bad guys.

When a thread is removed the answers are also removed. The AB Editor may have forgotten to activate the answers along with the thread. I have now reinstated the answers.

Currys PC World will install hardware for £45 plus the cost of the RAM. They sell 4gb ram for £23. They would probably install Windows 10 at the same time if you wanted it but I don't know if they would charge for it as it was free at one time.

Glad you got Avast working ok. Now remove Kaspersky using add/remove programs. Not a good idea to have more than one AV on your pc.
When I read your original thread I did think at the time that your pc specifications were quite low especially the 2Gb of ram. Nowadays, it's better to have a minimum of 4Gb.
